The Carolina OCR hosts multi-disciplinary symposia, brown bag research seminars, and research projects involving doctoral students from across campus.  | Rosalie Genova Rosalie Genova, ABD is a doctoral student in the Department of History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her adviser is John Kasson, a professor of history and American studies. Her research examines the role of multinational corporations in contemporary US politics, society, and culture, and how that role is construed and perceived. | | | |  | Sun Young Lee Sun Young Lee is a second-year doctoral student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her MA in Public Relations from the University of Georgia and her BA in Public Relations from Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea. Her research examines influences of public relations-generated news coverage on corporate reputation. She's interned at SAS Institute, Inc. using Text Miner. She's presented her research in the US, Canada, and China, at the Association for Educators in Journalism and Mass Communication, the International Communication Association, and the International Conference on Corporate Reputation, Identity, and Competitivenes. | | | |  | Nell Huang Nell Huang is a first-year doctoral student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Nell received her MA in Communication Management and BA in Communication and Public Relations from the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
